It’s time to give back to our community!
Join us as yourselves at Forestburg Scout Reservation on May 2nd for our community day! From cleanups, to fundraisers, to a chance to hang out, this is planned to be our most impactful community day when it comes to giving back. Earn up to 10xp for attending!
As every year, one of our main purposes is to help prepare the campsite for the summer season. There will be a variety of tasks offered, from things like clearing fallen branches, freshening up the rooms, and more. If you are unable to do heavy physical tasks, we will still have ways for you to contribute. Everyone is welcome to come help out, not just our players! Bring family, friends, whoever you want to share the community with. Let’s give back to our home away from home together.
We will be joined by 40 staff members of the boy scout camp for the cleanup as well!
For every hour of work you do, you earn 1xp, up to a total of 7. On top of that 7, we will give you and additional 3 for completing a day of cleanup. That means you can go home with a total of 10xp just for participating in person!
Another important part about Community Day is our community.
This year we will be hosting a charity fundraiser in honor of our director Sasha.
We have partnered with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), where Sasha was being treated, to help raise money to continue the fight against cancer. Be ready for raffles, our current directors doing some crazier than usual things, and helping out a cause that has deeply affected our community.
You won’t be at community day to donate? That’s okay! Donations will be open prior to community day online. There will be prizes available to both online donors as well as in person. The event itself will be livestreamed so you can still join in from wherever you are at. Sasha’s impact extends far beyond Requiem and we want to share this moment with all of you.

On top of the fundraising and cleaning, Community Day is about coming together and getting to know each other as humans. At the end of the event, we all talk about hanging out and when we’ll see each other next. Community Day will provide that chance for a mutual place for us to hang out. Let’s have food together, tell stories together, and get to know the people we share a campsite with every month.
Catering will be provided for lunch. Details on catering will be available soon. Please list any food restrictions in your sign up.
Schedule of the Day:
Saturday, May 2nd
9am - Arrival
10am - Camp Cleanup begins. Everyone is expected to contribute, tasks will be available for all activity levels.
1pm - Lunch will be served
5pm - Cleanup ends. Free time to do what you'd like
6:30pm - Charity livestream event in honor of Sasha
For the rest of the evening you are welcome to hang out, play games, and stay the night!
