Transfer to Dystopia Rising New York

Are you a new arrival to the area, or want to make Requiem your permanent home? We’d love to have you. When transferring your character to the New York game, be sure to send an email to both your current Coordination Director and info@dystopiarisingny.com requesting the Transfer. In the body of the email include your name & player number and simply state that you would like to transfer to DR New York.

Are you a regular player at Dystopia Rising New York? Consider an Advanced Membership; you will be able to check-in up to three characters when you register for games, and gain Build for them all at once. Advanced members also gain an additional 2 Build a year as our way of saying “thank you.”

Spending Caps

Caps can be earned through a variety of ways such as extra NPC shifts, donating during charity drives, through the Street Team, and more! By emailing us, you can spend your caps on the following (more to be added):

  • 50: Drop a Skill

  • 50: Include a rumor

  • 250: Have a teacher to come out and teach you a Skill or Profession

  • 250: 1 xp. Limit 1 per month

  • 333: Throw hands with Gurg

  • 500: New Inductee- Have an NPC come out and bring you into a Society or Religion (Not including Cults and National Societies) 

  • 1000: Character Reroll- This reroll refunds all xp spent on skills. Lost infection may not be reclaimed and strain cannot be changed

  • 1500: I Know a Guy- Personal Mod for you and 9 other people Requires advanced notice of a month and approval from staff

Important Policies

When participating in a Dystopia Rising New York event, you implicitly acknowledge the following policies:

  • You agree to abide by the Dystopia Rising Community Standards.

  • You understand that we will not issue you a cash refund for any purchase. If you wish, you can request a refund on any ticket you purchased for a Dystopia Rising New York event that you did not attend. You can apply up to the full value of the ticket purchased towards your next ticket to one of our events. You do not retain additional, unused credit if you purchase a less expensive ticket (i.e. credit on an opt-out ticket is “use or lose” on your next ticket, and does not reserve you another opt-out ticket).

  • We use media created at events to promote our chapter; our primary method of doing so is social media. When you arrive for your first event, you will fill out a photography waiver that allows us to your likeness in images and video captured at the event. If you choose not to fill it out, you must wear a gray armband so we know not to use photos with you in them. 

  • On social media, we credit individuals who have supplied us with their user name on that social media channel (i.e. if you wish to be credited on Instagram, we need your Instagram handle). If you would like to be credited, please fill out our social media form. Note: due to limited space, we do not credit images with words added directly to the image (i.e. memes, announcement cards). Photographers may be identified from the watermark they put on images.

  • Certain events may use our Enhanced Covid-19 Protections (ECPs). These will be marked in the event description and include a link to the policy.
