The Treaty of the Fold outlines the powers of the Patron Families. Under the Treaty, the leader of each Family has absolute power over life and death… In practice, the politics of Requiem are far more complicated, with a delicate balance of power.

Laws of Requiem

  • Requiem is open to all who can enter. If someone breaks the Law within its borders, kill them.

  • Public preaching and advertising of preaching of faith is outlawed.

  • If a citizen is murdered, the killer shall be killed in kind. If a Family member is murdered, the killer and one of their closest associates shall be killed in kind.

  • Theft and destruction of property is fined at the return of the property, or the equivalent worth. If the property is that of a Family member, the fine is doubled.

  • Four (4) nights of the year, we turn a blind eye to faith. Allowing two (2) faiths per night to conduct their business, organized and handled by the Anderson-Ambrosios Family.

  • Intentional spreading of disease is outlawed.

  • Distribution of intentionally harmful drugs is outlawed.

  • The item(s) known as Bedlam Bands are outlawed.

  • If the Vox Requiem is absent, a quorum of 3 Family heads may act in the place of Vox Requiem.

  • Procedures that have a known negative impact on the Mortis, the Morgue and/or the settlement are outlawed.

    • While not required under the Law, the Molon Collective should be made aware of procedures performed in Requiem’s Mortis/Morgue to help maintain Mortis/Morgue health.
