“For every serial killer, there are a 1,000 unsung maniacs”

Even in Requiem there are those a little too eccentric for "polite society." The Boone-Helm Collective consists of a legion of masked maniacs, cannibals and tortured "artists" who have sought refuge in Requiem. Generally unsociable, a group of Purebloods act as their curators, funding their art and offering an appropriate outlet for their creative energies. While difficult to deal with, the ability to field large crews of deranged shock troops have made short work of those that challenged their place among the families.

Specialty

Protection - In pursuit of their grisly art, the Boone-Helm have become a terrifying force that provides a degree of protection to Requiem.

Key Individuals

Polaris - The "leader" of the Boone-Helm Collective insofar as one can lead a disparate group of eccentrics and maniacs.

Mardigan - Leader of the “Appraisers,” Mardigan is Polaris's Second and shows up during the Family’s more gruesome activities to evaluate the “aesthetics.”

Organization

The Boone-Helm is generally disorganized for a Family, and is primarily broken up into two groups: the Appraisers (group of Pure Bloods who run day-to-day operations) and the Artists (mostly Tainted who create art from flesh and bone).

Basic Society Membership - The “Rabble,” who are the unfortunate initiates who have yet to join the Appraisers or the Artists.

Proficient Society Membership - Most Appraisers and Artists who have a more “functional” place in the Boone-Helm.

Master Society Membership - The most “respected” Appraisers and Artists.

History

Rumor has it that the Boone-Helm were once a Pureblood family that succumbed to Bad Brain, who clung to their refined pursuits to prevent their transformation into raiders. The survivors managed to establish control over a swath of the Fold, and leveraged their position by providing the Anastasia much-needed muscle in times of war. Now a Family under the Treaty of the Fold, they walk the line of what is and is not acceptable in Requiem.
