In any government, no matter how big or how small, there is a group that works in the shadows to pave the paths of the future. Organized by Seraphis Volkov, this family specializes in knowing the unknown, and using that wealth of information to broker deals and political outcomes, all while doing their best to stay out of the limelight.

Specialty

Information - The Volkov’s serve as the information brokers amongst the Patron Families.

Key Individuals

Seraphis Volkov - Matriarch and founder of the Volkov family.

Morningstar Volkov - Seraphis' second in command.

Organization

The Volkovs are a matriarchal group that is ultimately led by Seraphis Volkov. They can be identified by their blue robes and distinctive masks, which identify their place in the Family.

Basic Society Membership - “Buds.” These newcomers  must prove themselves. In addition to the standard Volkov ‘Blues’, their mask has only a basic belladonna flower on it, a single bloom.

Proficient Society Membership - “Blooms.” These members have demonstrated their worth and are their most commonly used agents. They adorn their mask with the mature belladonna flower, as well as leaves.

Master Society Membership - “Belladonnas.” These leaders vet intelligence, organize missions, and recruit. They adorn their masks with the full belladonna flower, leaves, and berries.

History

The history of the Volkovs is not very well known; in fact it may be one of their closest kept secrets. They appeared seemingly overnight in and around Requiem in their 'Volkov Blues' and masks decorated with bright purple nightshade. The truth is that the Volkovs had always been there - a grassroots organization rising from the lowest of classes, eventually creeping into all sects of society, recruiting murderers, drunks, and defunct 'nobility'.
