Dystopia Rising is a network of larps that tells the story of survivors living generations after the fall of mankind. In this hostile, undead-filled world, you join with other players as you fight off zombies and try to rebuild civilization. You’ll have chances to learn about the setting’s economy, religion, and history as you explore the world.

To learn more about Dystopia Rising, check out the rulebook, and follow our blog. You can also go to the page of the larp network to find other branches to visit. These links, and more, are on our Useful Links page.

About Requiem

Our piece of the Network is Requiem, a fictional town in what was once Upstate New York. Originally, the area was a place for outcasts and exiles, typically criminals fleeing punishment. Now, it’s the heart of a growing empire of thieves, assassins and worse… and your character’s new home.

Requiem is ruled by the Families of Requiem, and governed by a document called the Treaty of the Fold. On this site you’ll find the basics of the setting, and can read more about it on our blog

What We Offer

DRNY offers a particular dystopian experience. Reasons to come to Requiem include:

  • Survival Horror - We focus on a particular style of horror that includes legions of undead, depleting resources, and attrition. Come play in DRNY if you want to play a grizzled zombie killer against impossible odds.

  • Muddled Morality - As a town of criminals, the people of Requiem generally aren’t that good… but also aren’t all bad. The Treaty of the Fold was a necessity for people who, if they didn’t “hang together, would all hang separately.” Join us if you want to explore difficult moral choices.

  • Dangerous Politics - The Families of Requiem are long-term fixtures in the game, and you can interact with them like you would other players. Each of them have an angle, and each of them protect their own ferociously. You even have the opportunity to join one of them, or start your own.
